A mold remediation provider wanted to charge me $3000 to treat mold near my shower. Sam had been very helpful to us before and so we called him to give us an objective assessment, and he told us it did not need to be treated, that it would dry up over time due to the calcium from the grout. So, he saved us 3k. He also helped install our dehumidifier in a way that would allow it to run continuously. Sam is the best I'd highly recommend him.

No mold or other problem detected. Unfortunately, there was an email address error, so there was a delay in receiving the very thorough air quality report. He said it would cost me $200 to have someone come out and take samples, so I delivered them myself to their location in Dedham, MA. 24 hours later he called me and told me the results, as well as emailing me the official report. The cost was $40 per sample which was much cheaper than other places, especially for getting the results so quickly. Mark was very professional and helpful, I'd definitely work with them again.

Envirotest was very helpful when I had a black mold issue in my house. After hiring another testing company and being unhappy with their services, I switched to Envirotest. Sam was very thorough in testing. He clearly has a great deal of experience, and he went above and beyond to make sure that every affected area was tested and catalogued. Advised to remove drywall 3 feet up from floor (which has the mold/mildew on it) and replace with Hardieboard (cement board) so issue wouldn't occur again. (Since initial cause may have been from hot water heater failure which got bottom of drywall wet.) The appt was almost a week from when it was made so Sam called 30 minutes before arriving to confirm that the time/date was still acceptable. Sam arrived at the scheduled time and was friendly and professional (and he definitely knows his stuff). I would highly recommend him to anyone asking my opinion.

I called the office to look into getting a quote and was connected with Sam who happened to be relatively close by so he came out within an hour. He walked through the house and explained a few issues that jumped out (some issues not related to mold/ice dams which I thought was great of him to point out). Fortunately for me there weren't any major mold issues (a little bit in our attic which he had great advice for addressing). The equipment he used was top of the line and the price he charged was very reasonable. He is not in the remediation business which I think is a huge plus for him as I felt comfortable that his recommendations are not steered toward him making additional money to fix issues. I was having problems with the condo association management not checking mold in my unit for a year and he checked it out and got the ball rolling in a day. We have been trying for a year to get things fixed and he was able to do it in a day—we are so grateful. My condo association management finally took it seriously, and started working on my house. I hired envirotest to remove mold left untreated by another company after suffering a fire at my home . They , Able Restoration , had not vented the walls and ceilings after the fire and allowed 18 species of mold to grow inside my walls. Enviorotest removed the walls and ceilings and treated the growing problem with hydrogen peroxide which destroyed the infestation and allowed me to begin rebuilding my home after a five month delay .I would suggest that allowing your insurance company to select a company to remove mold is unwise .I would advise you to not allow your insurance company to select any contractor as it will always be the lowest bidder and certainly not the best .

It comes as no surprise to read all the rave reviews regarding Sam Cohen's superiority knowledge in his field, and his commitment to go above and beyond for successful outcomes. I had a mold issue which required repeated cleaning, and two prior mold inspections performed by a different company. For those who have had to deal with mold, it is a very scary, and tasking experience which often irritates eyes, throat and skin, not to mention long-term health implications. Even after mold remediation, there is no guarantee to rid of unwanted mold. In fact, that was the case in my situation because source of mold problem could not be clearly identified. After the second remediation, I searched for a different company to do follow-up inspection, primarily to compare reports from separate sources. Considering it was a blind search online, I mainly went off of customer feedback. Well, that is when my luck changed and Sam came to the rescue. Not only did he do a thorough job performing mold inspection utilizing various methods, including thermal imagery, amazingly, he also found the source of the leak that has been causing the mold. After stumping many specialists who suspected the HVAC system though no major leak was found, Sam resolved the issue by identifying the source to be external, outside the window seal. Much thanks to Sam, and I highly recommend his services to whomever may be in need.
